I checked out their site...very cool and lots of miles ahead. If they were coming through my neck of the woods I would have been glad to put them up.

Hey everyone-
I am following the journey of this newly married couple as they make their way across the US, hitting all 50 states, raising money to buy bikes for those who need them in Africa.
They need to get in contact with people in Arkansas and Louisiana about speaking/home stays/safe cycling routes/etc.
If anyone is interested, you can contact them via their Facebook page if you are on FB:

Or you can contact them through their blog:

They are traveling currently in the panhandle of Texas. They will be staying with me and speaking to my elementary school kids when they pass through Oklahoma City next week.
Their journey is amazing and inspiring.
From their blog:
Adam and Christy Coppola will be devoting a year of their lives to help give bikes to those in need. They will be the first to complete an unsupported bike tour of the 50 states in a calendar year. Their focus is on charity, adventure, and physical challenge, all visible through photography, videography, and journalistic blogging.

What parts are they coming through? We may be able to hook them up with some of the local groups...

It looks like they'll be heading right down the middle of the state after leaving MO- according to their map.

Adam and Christy came through Oklahoma City last night. They stayed with us and this morning they came and talked to my students at school.
They are AMAZING!!!!
If they are coming through your neck of the woods, it would be well worth it to host them and pick their brains and hear their stories. By the end of their journey, they will have ridden somewhere in the neighborhood of 12,000 miles. WOW!
I wanted them to stay for days longer... and I wanted to get on my bike and ride away with them.![]()
