Tangentgirl-Yup..The ocean can be quite evil at times but oh it's wonderful when it plays nice

In Perth, it depends on the beach & the time of day.I know most of the beaches near the one I swam at today and trust the conditions in the mornings. There are others further up the coast, that would be great if I wanted to learn very quickly how to swim in larger waves....I guess i'm partial to a few beaches which isn't a good thing if I want to do events elsewhere.

I tried out a new pair of prescription goggles so much easier when spotting the buoys and knowing distance.

Now if i could stop coming last in my age group that would be great. I wasn't totally last though & was spot on my estimated time

Trekhawk..oddly enough there was very little wind @ leighton today *phew*. It's been quite windy near our house but I certainly wouldn't want to venture on the road in the hills for fear of being blown away .
