For those of you who make stir fries, do you simply saute your veggies and protein or do you add any sauce or broth?
I go both routes, I do love certain Asian sauces and will sometimes use those towards the end of the process. Sometimes I will just add a little sesame oil at the end to enhance the flavor. The nice thing about stir-fry is that it is so wonderfully versatile!

I typically use a tablespoon of a spicy bottled sauce with our stir fries, along with a bit of soy sauce. I also add in ginger, garlic and red pepper flake. One recipe I follow calls for a slurry of chicken broth and corn starch to be added in at the end, and I like the results I get with that. But I can't say that I'm counting calories when I make it. I figure it's a lot better than what I would get at a Chinese restaurant. Still, I wish they were a bit healthier.

I fry some garlic, ginger and pepper flakes (amount depending on if it's just me or me and DBF!) before I put in the meat. I've also got a bottle of Kikkoman's stir-fry sauce, which is pretty tasty. I should try just adding a bit of sesame oil next time.
At least I don't leave slime trails.

Just be sure to add it at the end. It has a low smoke point, so it's not the best oil to actually cook with.

I make stir frys different ways too. Sometimes with broth and corn starch - then I add garlic, red pepper flakes, to my stir fry.

Sometimes I have bottled sauce and use that, but I try to limit the amount since it is so high in sodium. But, it is yummy.

Love stir frys. My husband always complains that he isn't getting enough calories so I tell him to have some ice cream or an extra cookie after dinner!

    Poor boy.

Yeah, I know. I love sesame oil. I add extra to hot and sour soup for the smell alone...

    Let's see:
B: Tea, a few pieces of smoked salmon
L: I skipped it--we need to go shopping!
S1: Whole-milk chai latte, huge cinnamon bun/doughnut hybrid at the local coffee shop. I've been having glazed doughnuts and cinnamon roll cravings for a week (where's that thread?). I ate the whole thing.
    S2: A few chili powder-coated dried mangoes
D: Salad with a chicken breast, a sprinkling of cheese, and oil and vinegar dressing. Slice of toast.
S3: I'm probably going to have an apple. Maybe something desserty.

I'm justifying my caloric intake by saying it's around 10 degrees outside and the apartment is FREEZING.
At least I don't leave slime trails.

B - Cream of wheat made with soy milk and sprinkled with brown sugar.

L - A vegan hot dog from Cyberdogs Cafe with housemade "cheese" and "bacon."

    S - Vanilla Soy yogurt.

D - Stir fry made with Jasmine rice, cooked with Canola oil and tossed with sweet and sour sauce after, with tofu, orange pepper, garlic, mushrooms, pineapple, broccoli, and shallots and a piece of potato bread.

There appears to be a trend...

(Replace the tofu with chicken, the orange pepper with a red one, and get rid of the mushrooms and that's probably dinner at some point this weekend...)

    Now I want pineapple...
