    I know I certainly notice whether or not I've got my underwear on as I'm headed toward my office after my bike commute.

    My impression is she changed out of her bike shorts and somehow didn't get the underwear on. She didn't notice cause she was in such a hurry. I'm such a flake, I find the premise plausible. I think I'd notice something missing pretty quick, but I could see me forgetting that step!
