Hard to believe this thread has been going since 2006!

Sadly, the 2 buns - my 2 buns - that kicked this off are both now gone.
We had to put Noah down yesterday morning. At nearly 12 years old, it was bound to happen sooner or later, but you're never prepared for the day when you see your pet failing to the point of no return. It seemed cruel and selfish to try to keep him around - to "make him more comfortable." Comfortable for what? He was shutting down. Things were starting to cascade past hope. We watched Tasha die in our arms 2 years ago, and we swore we'd never go through that again - or put another animal through that again. I was okay up until we got to the emergency vet clinic. Then I started to bawl. I cried all day yesterday. The house seems so empty without him...without them both. This is the first time since 1992 that I have not had a rabbit...or a pet of any sort.

(((((7rider)))). I'm so sorry about Noah and, (belatedly) about Tasha. I think most of us pet owner/lovers can relate all too well on how hard it is to say goodbye to our beloved fur babies. I hope you find some solace on the loving home you gave both of them and the joy they brought to your lives.

I am so sorry about your beloved bun. It is so hard to let go, even when it is the kindest thing to do.

So sorry for your loss of Noah and Tasha. Tasha's been waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for Noah to arrive. They're now scampering off with all of the other TE fur babies who've crossed over the bridge. They bring with them all the love and attention you showed them when they allowed you to share your life with them. When you feel a breeze, it'll be their spirits hopping by.

    Again, sorry for your loss.
