I think it'll be rainy season in Costa Rica, which may be a problem if you want to get anywhere remote. And the ocean will be too cloudy for good snorkeling.

It will be lush & green though. The west coast gets less rain, so I'd head that way.

We are going to Costa Rica in a week and a half! I'm super excited. Just a quick little vacay to escape this Chicago hustle and bustle and of course winter! We are staying at a little B and B in Cahuita. No plans yet, but just excited to get out of Dodge Great thread!

We were in Belize the first week in September last year. It only rained once and was absolutely gorgeous! Highs in the 80 every day. It is hurricane season, though. Something to keep in mind -- travel insurance would be prudent.
