how big was the team? That's your answer.. No one had to pedal very long, I would imagine.

Anyone got a clue how the south African team of ladies managed 722 miles for a recent Guinness world record? It was the furthest distance travelled on a static bike in 24 hours. Pretty full on huh!?

30 mph for 24 hrs on a "static" bike? Does this mean a trainer?
Are there multiple riders on multiple trainers so that switching timing/measuring from one rider to another there is no time lost at the changeover? Or is time spent dismounting and remounting not counted?
If only one bike, are all the riders the same size so no afitting djustments are made? How long is each interval? Is there a link to get more information?
she said there were 6 total cyclists.

Has it been certified yet? a google search for it yields nothing...... the only thing I found was: the longest [most time] ride on a stationary bike appears to be a man who rode for 222 hours 22 min 22 sec straight - given only 5 min rest breaks for each hour.
