I also gain weight after long rides - I think my body holds on to the water for a while. It takes three days for my weight to come down after a long ride.

I'm probably the only person in the room who gains weight after long rides. I was 229.2 yesterday morning. One 12-mile bike ride later...230.6. Go figure.

me too! I gained 6 pounds after one century last summer. I sweat a LOT and hardly ate anything of substance for 6 hours so I'm not sure how THAT happened.

Hanging in at 149 for me. I had a bad/tough cold all week which prevented me from doing much of anything. Next I hope to report 148 or even 146

178!!! Okay, so 1lb over 3 weeks is like the worst result ever, but it's probably the first time it's gone downwards in a couple years

Saturday seems a better time to weigh in - it is close than Wed and my body has given up the water it likes to hold from my Wed and Thursday eve workouts/classes...

I'd love to be a part of this. I last weighted myself about a week or so ago at 121 and measured at 34-27-36. While I am quite happy with the shape of my body I need to get off my lazy butt and tone. I have been making great steps to do this and have been doing yoga at least 4 times a week plus a weekly belly dancing class. I would like to incorporate more bike rides, but since I am not a seasoned rider by any means I am going to wait till the weather warms up a bit.

My real goal is to continue with the 6 days a week workouts, maybe even push to everyday as long as I don't over strain myself.

Here's hoping to following through in 2011!!

Thanks, Lime, Klesko, and Tri Girl. I have no idea why we'd gain weight except that maybe the body is holding onto water because of inflammation of the joints or something...Knot could explain better, I'm sure.

Still, it's frustrating when DH comes in from a long ride and emerges from the bathroom (where the scale is) to announce that he's three pounds lighter, taa daa, and looks at me like why can't I do that?

    Feh.
