10k snowshoe race

They had 100 pairs of snowshoes available for people to rent. It's really great that they make that available so more people can try the sport. I borrowed snowshoes from a friend.

That sounds really hard! And from my meager snow shoeing experience, breaking trail in deep snow is dificult enough when you are walking, let alone running.

Wow, Lime, that is so cool and the picture is awesome! I can't imagine doing a 10k in snowshoes. How long does it take to do 6.2 miles on snowshoes anyway?

First place men was just over 50 minutes. And there were some very serious snowshoers--it was a qualifier for nationals.

First place woman was just over 1 hour. I averaged 11:00 min/miles I think. Somewhere around there.
