the baby hasn't moved in the past 20 minutes or so, and phoebe hasn't been back in just as long
an hour later...

I'm so addicted to this right now. It's like the baby's growing right before our eyes (I know it's literal, but the baby's changed a lot even in 24 hours).
I was reading that the males have no role in any of this other than fertilizing.
poor Phoebs and other female hummingbirds have to do all the work, no fair!!
