iPad users who want an amazing physics game, try Osmos HD. Not sure if there's a phone version.

    A little off-topic:

So, finally, Verizon gets iphone. I wonder how difficult they will make it for current iphone users to switch. ATT's coverage simply does not meet my needs, and my calls get dropped every single day.

Verizon has it's issues, but at least they have decent coverage.

Ok, I will admit that I love mind numbing games and enjoy having them on my IPad and Blackberry. They help to pass the time while I'm waiting at the doctors office, getting my oil changed or riding in the car on long trips. I like to stay busy I suppose.

Some of my favorite apps are

Livestrong for tracking calories in/calories out
    Weather bug
    Pandora
    Friendly for facebook
Boggle--so much fun. DH and I are always challenging each other.
    Talking Tom--what a hoot!

Wouldn't you need a new phone? AT&T's network is GSM while Verizon's is CDMA...

You are all making me want to get an iPhone, something I've successfully convinced myself I totally don't need and wouldn't switch my carriers for. UGH. I need to stop reading about all of this.

I was thinking the same thing. i have a Blackberry Curve that's about 2 1/2 years old. Like Tulip, I really don't want my phone to be a time sink. But then again, there are a lot of handy and fun apps. I'm a Verizon customer, and while I don't talk on my cell phone very often (like maybe once every couple of weeks), I rely on it rather heavily for email, and DH and I use the Internet on it a lot when we're on the road. My biggest concern is that when I've tried to use the "keyboard" on the iPhone, I've found it rather cumbersome.

Indy - I've had an iPod Touch for awhile now and just got an HTC Incredible Droid a few days ago. The keyboard is better than the iPod hands-, err, fingers-down. Hubby prefers the Incredible's keyboard also.

Thanks for the tip, SK. One of these days, I'll replace my Blackberry. I will say this: While the Blackberry isn't nearly as phone, it sure has been problem free. I've been pretty pleased with it.

So can you use all these types of apps on that phone? I admit, I'm totally app-deficient. I'm a bright kid, I swear I am. I just haven't paid any attention to this realm of technology.

Yes!! Those wanting to switch would need a new phone. My two year is up in June, so it doesn't make sense for me to switch to Verizon now for a phone that's nearly a year old. ATT (yes the network sucks, but I do wonder what iPhone will do to the Verizon network) will have a new phone out in three months or so. I'm hoping that Verizon also gets the new iPhone (iPhone 5???) when it becomes available.

I'm going to wait and see.

    Yes.

My iphone is for work, so it's important that it actually functions for work. I work from wherever I want to work from--home, cafes, etc. I also travel a fair amount for work. Seriously, I cannot get a signal from one of the main places I work from, which really puts a damper on working. My calls are constantly dropped when I travel.

Well i never thought I'd have one either! DH surprised at Xmas . It's kinda funny because my old phone got deactivated on Xmas eve. Naturally I called to see why my phone wasn't working...."you have an iPhone, right?" oops.

Haha typing this up while sitting in a waiting room. TE, soduku or an old episode of Hercules?
