The Weather Channel app is alot better than the built in one. Unfortunately, Weather Underground does not have an app as far as I know. That would be great!

I second the Runkeeper app. I just started using the android version for my runs and it's really neat.
Others that amuse me...(plus, they're all free!)
Angry Birds
Fruit Ninja
Urbanspoon
FireDrop
Cut the Rope
Groupon
Pandora
Passometer (this is a free pedometer that's really neat)
iDork
Geared
I should say that I do not play games on my iphone. I had solitaire for a while, but it was too tempting so I trashed it. I find games a complete time suck.
Weather Underground DOES have an app. www.wunderground.com
I haven't tried it yet, but wunderground.com is my favorite weather site (particularly interesting for hurricanes).
I have it - it's pretty good.
Here are some I use regularly:
The Huffington Post app is a lot better than the computer version - way less "busy"
Find Craft Beer - indispensable. It uses GPS to find the closest breweries.
Urbanspoon - finds restaurants with reviews (may be geographically limited. There's a lot in the Bay Area. When we were in Mammoth, not so much.)
Peak.ar - uses GPS and the camera to identify mountains
Star Walk - without a doubt the most amazing app ever. Identifies constellations. The iPad app (larger screen/resolution - separate version of the app) is spectacular.
