Jake and Ana look so scrawny and young in this video, especially Jake.

This is a sweet, kind of sad song. Visually stunning video, too.

Today my jouhikko/tagelharpa (archaic fiddle-type instrument of Finland/Sweden/Estonia) arrived from England. so I'm listening to my horeshair bow on the twisted horsehair strings, making unfortunate sounds as though someone was dragging a chair across the room. And I'll be listening to it for weeks to come, if not months.
Good thing my husband (an excellent fiddler) is very very patient and understanding.

Cherish the Ladies, Solas, Capercaillie, and the Chieftains. I've been learning tin whistle, so I'm on a Celtic music kick.

I got a $25 Itunes for Christmas, my favorite thing I bought? "Atlantic City" by The Band. "Put your make-up on, fix your hair up pretty, meet me tonight in Atlantic City." I also got a bunch of Ryan Bingham and Jamey Johnson off my husband's CDs. Love them both!

Martha Argerich performing Liszt's first Piano Concerto with the LSO under Abbado. With the volume turned up until I can't hear civilization crumbling around me. It's what I've listened to on nights like these for 33 years.

I bought the vinyl (which also includes Chopin's 1st) from someone who was clearing out her dorm room and having a little sale on the quad. She'd studied the piece the semester before and was ready to pass it on. Best thing I've ever bought at a "yard" sale.
