Today my jouhikko/tagelharpa (archaic fiddle-type instrument of Finland/Sweden/Estonia) arrived from England. so I'm listening to my horeshair bow on the twisted horsehair strings, making unfortunate sounds as though someone was dragging a chair across the room.
And I'll be listening to it for weeks to come, if not months.
Good thing my husband (an excellent fiddler) is very very patient and understanding.

I know what a nyckelharpa is... but could you post a pic of the jouhikko/tagelharpa so we could see?
