    New Bike!

I got a 2011 Madone 5.5 as a combination Christmas/50th birthday gift. Took it out for its maiden ride on Christmas day. Rides so smooth, but I think I'll need to get a shorter stem (I don't remember feeling so stretched out when I test rode it).

I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

BEAUTIFUL BIKE !! I am dropping hints like crazy to my husband, live in FIL and three adult children that I want a madone 6.5 for my 65th birthday in two years. If it doesn't materialize, I will throw a hissy fit and buy it for myself. Enjoy your new ride.

I made it very plain: "for my 50th birthday I'd like a new bike". My wonderful, supportive partner made it happen. Can't wait to find out what she wants for her 60th in 2 years.

Congrats on your new bike. I'm hoping to save my money up to be able to purchase a Madone by the end of next year. (My credit card debt gets first priority though).
