I had a goal of riding 7,000 miles for this year, but fell just 41 miles short of it. I may have one more shot at it, on New Year's Eve...as the forecast is calling for near 50-degree temps, but flooding rains to go with it. If there is a dry window of opportunity, I'll try my best to hit my goal.

As for next year...well, I guess I'll shoot for 7,000 again, if I don't hit it this year. And if I do hit it on Dec. 31st, then my goal for next year will be 7,001.
