It would not seem like Christmas without Christmas carols and other holiday songs. I play it non stop from right after Thanksgiving.

Neither dearie nor I are religious/believers, but we do enjoy listening to the music. He will tell me to turn it on ...Christmas is his favourite season because his mother loved celebrating it...all the traditional German stuff that he had as a kid, --freshly cut evergreens boughs, live Christmas tree with real candles (I believe the tree tradition was more German/Teutonic in origin.), traditional German cookies and cakes for several weeks (his mother was a genius at it and very creative), etc. So all the music is part of it all.
The music is part of it for myself as well. Christmas is the only holiday where music does form part of the spirit for me every year.

Brewer has always been a big fan of holiday music. It kind of drove me crazy, but the solution was to increase the size of the collection. Now we have so much that even if we listen to it all season, I don't get sick of it.
I really like hearing Ringo Starr singing "I wanna be Santa Claus."
Each day is a gift, that's why it is called the present.
