I haven't. I wonder if Gunnar can provide a paint sample or direct you to an auto shop for a look-see. On my monitor, that purple is very dark--which is why I like it. It's darker than "Barney Purple."

+1. I'd never have considered this combo but then I saw this at the London Cycle Show in October and had exactly the same reaction. Love it!

I called Waterford and might request the paint chart after Christmas - they do require a pretty good deposit but they do refund it. We did have a good talk about what a couple of these colors look like so I do have some things to consider. I think that I am going to have to limit myself to a selection from 5 recent colors otherwise I will NEVER make my mind up in 3 weeks...or 3 MONTHS

Apparently the Cinnamon Candy over Copper is a beautiful and very dark/rich copper that is very deep, and she said the Candy Plum over Charcoal Silver is darker than the Purple Pearl. Decisions, decisions - though I think I do want a pearl.

Interesting. The purple pearl plays darker on my monitor than the candy plum, or perhaps its that their photos are good representations. Keep us posted as to your five so we can live vicariously through you.

At least you have some pretty ones to choose from. Are you going to get a steel fork to match?

Yes, I am going to get a steel fork to match. I had toyed with the idea of going to the more expensive colors and getting a 2 or 3 color blend, but I don't need to go that far to suit my desire for rich vibrant color. In case someone would like to see some of these colors, there is a drop-down menu here where you can see them.

My 5 are as follows, in no particular order. Ok, so there are 6 colors, what's another color among friends?

Pearl in Black - pearly little black dress
    Purple Pearl
    Candy Plum over Charcoal Silver
    Cinnamon Candy over Copper
Sunset Red over Fine Gold/ Silver w Black Decals
    Orange Glow over Sterling Silver

Those are all really pretty choices--and pretty close to my own preferences(if only I was getting a Gunnar, too!) I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. The matching fork will really look nice, too. I tend not to like the look of a carbon forks on pretty steel frames.

OOOh, what fun! Those are so pretty! I looked at many of them. I think my top three are (in no particular order):

    Orange Glow over Sterling Silver
    Champagne Poly
    Sunshine Yellow over Pure Gold

But there are many others I'd be perfectly happy with. Lucky you!

I like all the charcoal choices!

    Not much help, am I?

Seriously though, I chose both the purples you did. And all the oranges. Sigh.
You noted, of course, that I said I would choose a set of 5 to limit my choices and then immediately changed it to 6

I suspect that I won't make the final choice until my fitter is filling out the paperwork for the actual order. I could not make that choice at this particular minute if I had to do so

I was at my LBS today while they took some measurements from my LHT to send to Gunnar. They had a set of color tubes from Comotion that I checked out, it was quite interesting, though of course they were colors from a different company.

I look great in purple, and also like copper...I suspect that my future Sport will likely either be the Candy Plum over Charcoal Silver or Cinnamon Candy over Copper - and if I were to choose today then it would be the Candy Plum

It has been fun to read the comments on this - and I am looking forward to finally getting the actual bike. Considering that we have had one of the coldest and snowiest Decembers for Indianapolis for some time, I suspect that there won't be many rides this winter. This will give me lots of time to consider the companion for my LHT

It is gorgeous, a very deep and rich purple metallic I do like green as well, but I wasn't taken by any of the greens in the "recent colors" collection. Was going to go blue, but I already have a blue bike, and my car matches my bike. Have to have my priorities right Of course, I might just have to have a blind drawing between the candy plum and the cinnamon over copper at the end, but time will tell.

Oh I absolutely love the candy plum. Gorgeous. Can't wait to hear more and see lots of pictures when the final decision is made! So hard to decide though, I can see that.
