    That is all.
The good news: Tucson is thousands of miles away. Oh, and we were 75 sunny degrees yesterday!

    Dear Weather gods,

Ok, we're officially tired of it being so cold here in N.C., 'kay?

Just saw on the local weather last night that we're running 10 degrees below normal for December and heading for our coldest Dec. since records have been kept. And while you're at it, didn't we just have the hottest summer on record?! Getting a little tired of the extremes....

    Thank you for your consideration.

Dear person with no brake lights who stopped short in front of our group this morning,

It would've been nice if you'd stopped to see if I was okay after I went over my handlebars. As it turns out, I'm banged up, five stitches in my face, hands a bruised mess, but nothing else. Still, when I was lying on the ground hardly able to breathe because I'd just been punched in the sternum by my steerer tube cap, I don't think I probably looked okay.

Dear passerby who stopped and prayed for me until the squad came,

    Thanks.

Heal well, Oakleaf. That really sucks, so soon after getting to your winter home.
