    Giving Bicylist a Bad Name

Tonight we were headed out to dinner and it was pretty dark, but I saw a cyclist coming through the intersection, changing lanes (at an intersection) without signaling. I saw this and said out loud "that guy is going to get himself killed" to which on that mark, he darted across traffic to make a left, again without signaling and nearly getting struck.

I couldn't help but think that it's riders just like this that gives those riders out there that DO obey laws a "bad name."

Yup. I hate them. THEY are the ones motorists notice. My dad likes to get into anti-cyclist rants and I have frequently had to stop him and ask if he even notices the GOOD cyclists like my hubby and I...the ones who OBEY the law and are considerate and safe.

Of course he doesn't notice us and has it in his head that most cyclists are a-holes. I cringe every time I see another cyclist do something stupid.

I see this sort of thing all too frequently, and it makes me mad.
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...
