My old bike being passed on to a good home!

I am so happy that my old bike has been bought by a very nice man in my town as a Christmas surprise for his wife. He is an avid road biker, and she wants to start herself. The neat thing is that I will probably be seeing it again since she is going to need some non-hammerfest people to ride with. He rides with a group of really fast, aggressive riders. She might get there, but I told him to give her my contact info. if she would like to start with an easier going group of riders. Anyway, glad to see it has gone to a good home where it will be appreciated!

How nice! My old bike was passed down to a beginning rider too and she rides in our group. It's nice to see someone else get started riding and to still see my old bike. That old Trek and I shared some good moments!

    That's great.
DBF sold his old Giant to someone in his scout troop. He still gets to ride it sometimes, as its new owner is too busy to ride all the time, and DBF's bike is often in Ohio these days.

I sold my flat bar road/hybrid bike (Specialized Vita) to my good friend when I got my real road bike (Specialized Ruby). Then she put really high cruiser handlebars on it because she is heavier and needs to be more upright. Although I enjoy seeing my old bike, it kind of looks like Frankenstein. Still, I am really happy that it worked out for her. Her old bike was so heavy and slow. And with this modification, she at least gets a lighter, faster bike.
