So...was searching Foggy Bottom restaurants, and stopped where I started.
    How about "Founding Farmers"?
It looks interesting - serves weekend brunch, has a vegan menu, can accommodate parties up to 12 (if we have more, we'll make reservations for 2 groups and request side-by-side tables).
It's at 1924 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) HQ2 building. Metro stops are Farragut West or Foggy Bottom.
Anyone have any experience with it?

Nope, but I have a couple of friends that work for the IMF, I will ask them.

there's a really good peruvian place a few blocks from there, but I have no idea how they are for vegans.

Sounds good to me too - lots of menu choices.

So, we've got the place. What time?

    Oh, bummer.
They can't handle a group of 12 (about how many we'd have) until MONDAY at 8:30 a.m.! Grrrr.
They can handle 2 groups of 6 at 3 p.m., but it wouldn't be brunch, it'd be off the lunch/dinner menu.

I'm okay with 3PM and the lunch/dinner menu.

    Okay.
I just made reservations for SUNDAY, December 19, at 3:00 p.m. (dinner) for 12.

    This list includes:
    1. 7rider
    2. DivingBiker
    3. MDHillSlug
    4. Veronica
    5. Thom (is it? Veronica's +1)
    6. NYBiker
    7. SFA
    8. PFunk12
    9. KMerzhed
    10. Possegal
    11. Blueberry
    12. Blueberry's +1

Blueberry's +1 was a "maybe" - so that slot may be open to anyone I missed.

This reservation can be revised, as needed, but be aware that the largest table is for 12 - so any more and we'd have to break up into 2 different tables and there's no assurance we can be in the same area.

I can also cancel this reservation, if someone finds something else. But since it's so close to the holiday, I suspect places will be filling up pretty fast.

    Otherwise...I'll see you all there!

(And this means, Pfunk, you may be able to do the Sunday shop ride, and come good and hungry!)

e.t.a. - oh...and dress code is listed as "smart casual"

Founding Farmer's is excellent!! Especially for 4pm lunch (when I usually feel like going there on a Sunday after riding).

Seeing as I eat there maybe too often and the large table thing is an issue, I'll let you all enjoy. Maybe the BF and I will drop by to grab a burger at the bar and say hi.

ps. Don't worry about the dress code. It's pretty casual...though I haven't tried going there in my kit yet.

If there's room, Michele would come as my +1; no sweat if she can't
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...
