Most cycling distance challenges will allow for miles on the: 1)spin bike, 2)stationary bike and 3)bike on the trainer. If you complete your distance goal on any of the above indoor bikes, it does not diminish what you have achieved. You can look back at the year, at all of the miles you biked, and you will come to understand the gains you made in your cardio fitness and your cycling skill sets. It is the journey that is important. Complete the challenge on an indoor bike.
