Is your saddle tilted too far down? I was sliding off the front of mine for awhile til I adjusted it.

I have noticed this before but really noticed it when doing the Wild Goose Chase this year: I have to push myself back on the seat occasionally (or even frequently; at least that's what it felt like on the WGC).
Bike is a standard-issue Giant Sedona.
Is this perhaps a fit issue, or do I just need glue between my shorts and the saddle?

I push back too. I went to a bike fitter and he had me put my feet/pedals at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock and did a plumb line from my knee. It turns out I needed a setback seatpost to get my seat far back to have the right positioning. He said women tend to have long femurs and that it is pretty common.
I'd check fit. Your plum line from the knee is supposed to go to the middle of the pedal I think?
I honstly haven't even ridden my bike with my new seatpost that just came in. Not in the mood to brave the cold!!!

Could be the tilt of the saddle or the reach to the bars - as others have suggested - and it could also be your saddle is too wedge-shaped for you and your pedal stroke keeps forcing you forward.

I'm glad to hear the suggestions because I too feel like I have to "push back" and at times find myself standing on the pedals to "readjust" where I am sitting.

In my experience, the feeling that I am constantly sliding forward on the saddle has meant that I needed to move the saddle forward, rather than back. Provides relief every time![]()
