Actually, I got the area wrong. We're staying at the River's Inn which is Foggy Bottom I guess.

On that list - Georgetown Cupcake! That just jumped right out at me. I just came from a trainer session. I'm trying to lose a few more pounds of body fat and I've really cleaned up my diet the last few weeks. But I've got a wicked sweet tooth...

You'll be in line all day if you go there. IMO, Baked N Wired (on Thomas Jefferson, also in Georgetown) has much better cupcakes (and other baked goods), great coffee, and much shorter lines! These are not vegan, though. You'd need to go to Sticky Fingers in Columbia Heights/U St. for that.

I saw the other day that a Sprinkles is also moving in in Georgetown. DC is having cupcake overload!

I'm not sure what my weekends are like, but if you're gonna be hanging out in FB or Gtown, I'm sure my bike and I will be around--will try to stop by!

FYI, we always have a herd of people and bikes taking over Dean & Deluca on the weekends in Georgetown. But the coffee isn't so great, IMO. Only vegan things I can think of there might be their veggie sushi.

I'm just seeing this thread now--I don't know how I missed it before!

I'd love to join you all too (and I'm thinking we should do a mini get-together at the race on the 18th. How many of us are doing that?), although I need to talk to my family and figure out our December weekend plans. Right now, though, the 19th is free as far as I know. And I'm fine with any kind of food, coffee, or cupcake.

And I look a lot like my avatar, only with frizzy hair. And my bike isn't yellow. And I'm quite a bit older. OK, I don't really look anything like my avatar.

Okay, time for some real planning. I count 15 people who have expressed interest. Even for a group half that size, we would need to make a reservation somewhere.

So, for lunch on Sunday, December 19, who is in?

Location will be someplace in DC.

    - Gray 2010 carbon WSD road bike, Rivet Independence saddle
    - Red hardtail 26" aluminum mountain bike, Bontrager Evoke WSD saddle
    - Royal blue 2018 aluminum gravel bike, Rivet Pearl saddle

    Gone but not forgotten:
    - Silver 2003 aluminum road bike
    - Two awesome worn out Juliana saddles
