I ran a whopping 24 minutes today But I decided to sign up for a turkey trot - I think I can do it, even though I almost always run trails and those are all roads.

Did the local Monday night 5K in 25:08. Not my best time, despite the fact that I actually ran the whole thing without stopping to walk once (as I have often tended to do--bad trail runner's habit). Is that backwards, or what? The pace I was running was comfortable which was good, but you'd think I'd have a better time instead of worse if I ran the whole time.

Had to knock out my 6 miler really early today so that I can get everything done at work. Super busy conference time means tired and busy me!

I have a huge week training wise next week, and I am getting nervous about the whole ordeal!
Slow and steady (like a train!)

I've been running unusually fast this week-- I keep ending up running something between 8:15 and 8:30 per mile. Maybe it's the cooler fall weather, or lower weekly mileage. Anyway, it's fun to be fast!

Today was a rain shortened 2.5 miles. It went from drizzle to downpour awfully fast! but we need the rain....

Got in a little over a 5 mile run yesterday. I was pretty comfortable for the first 3 miles the last 2 were tough because my hamstrings began to get real tight. It was a beautiful day for a run..sunny and temps in the 40s.

I was a total klutz on today's (road) run. First I tripped and fell...on completely smooth pavement. Then not even two minutes later, I got distracted by a big group of kids on the sidewalk who randomly said somethiing to me, and ran smack into a fire hydrant! I have a nice bruise on my left outer thigh now. Today has just generally been a crappy day...I could use another run right about now to de-stress. I just found out a bit ago that there's an internal candidate being interviewed for a job I was really thinking I would have a good chance at getting. That's how things have been going...every time anything has seemed really promising, something has happened to throw a wrench into the works. I am so sick of being in a holding pattern and feeling like I have no stability in my life...not to mention the frustration of having gone to school for so long and then not getting a chance to work in my field. It sucks and I'm starting to wonder if it will ever end.
