    look at the lugs on that beauty! And that crank is so pretty. They don't make them like that anymore, do they?

    The paint is terribly scratched and rusted. I wish it wasn't, because I love the light root beer color. I sanded it, taped off all the beautiful chrome, and primed it this afternoon. I can't wait to finish it.

    Tri girl, I think the cranks are my favorite part on the bike.

    The paint is finished. I love how shiny it looks. I will take it to The Bike Guy tomorrow so he can repack the bottom bracket and reassemble everything.

    Yup. I sanded the original paint, taped the chrome, primed/sanded/primed, painted, and clear coated. I wish i could afford a real paint job, but I think it turned out really nice. And I did it myself! That will make riding it even more fun.
