Keep in touch with Velogirls, they usually do a several-week mileage build-up program with Cinderella as the endgoal.

If not the VeloGirls how about the Oakland Yellowjackets? They seem pretty active. I'm watching the suggestions for this one as I am moving back to Oakland early next summer after a too long hiatus in Sacramento.

    +1 on Velogirls. http://velogirls.com/calendar.php

Oakland Yellowjackets is a great club. Many of their rides start near Lake Merrit with 19th st BART station nearby.

Check the AIDS lifecycle training schedule. I'm sure you'd be welcome to participate as a veteran rider.

Grizzly Peak Cyclists has a novice rider series. I know you're not a novice but returning to century form that'd be helpful.

link to the Fremont Freewheelers Cinderella ride series

Just thought I'd post the link to the 2011 Cinderella ride series put on by the Fremont Freewheelers, in case anyone else might be interested.

I'm probably not participating in this, just passing the info on.

Ah, right, the founders sponsors inventors of (is it the first US women-only metric/century? ) ride.

Even if you don't register for the Cindy these are all great clubs/resources for getting in shape for the season. We're so lucky to have so many great clubs here and I'm sure there are others I've missed.
