Well that makes sense. After all, the ankle bone is connected to the leg bone...it's all a connected.
Oh, and by the way, when I was in PT for my tendinitis in my wrist and elbow, they said I had to REST it completely in order for it to heal. No typing, no gardening (with that arm), etc. So just be prepared for that possibility.

At least I have not gained any weight, though should probably drop my calories back down to 1,400 until I can start really exercising again.
