On the Rivet Cycle & Sport - leather wrapped bicycles

While in Cambridge for the Wild Goose Chase, DB, Kmerzad, and I stopped into On the Rivet Cycle and Sport to look for accelerade, but stayed to gawk at the bikes on display.

ONe of the workers/owner (?) enjoys leather work and makes leather fenders, bags, and wraps frames with them. He has been getting leather from farmed ostrich legs and tie dying it to wrap bikes.

    Their pics are here:

Some of the ones we saw are:

That's really unique. I wonder how much he charges to do a full wrap? I love the colors on the bike that's featured on your link. Might be worth a slog out that way to check it out! Thanks for sharing.

I'd imagine that it won't be cheap - but it did sound/look like a lot of work.. and it'll be completely unique.

What's the shame of a vintage Pinarello or Colnago??
Those bikes are beautiful in their own right.

    True.

That might be one reason I didn't buy one. That and it was huge, I can't afford it, and all the rest of those reasons.

Why not? Protection from the elements (of course, titanium doesn't rust).
