    HI Ladies!

    Real name: Bonny
Where do you live? San Angelo, TX
Explanation of your handle: It's just my name
    Explanation of your avatar: None

    Age (general or specific) 38!

    Occupation: Gym owner/personal trainer/ex-pro bodybuilder

Favorite bike: want a Bianchi (REAL BAD)

What's in your stable? Nothing good yet. I'm just riding a Gary Fisher Kai Tai hybrid for now. I'm looking to purchase a REAL road bike next summer & possibly enter some races. I'm REALLY loving cycling again.

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 38.5 on a hybrid going down a steep hill in Fredericksburg, TX in July 2010.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? I don't have very many pics of myself - I absolutely hate having my picture taken

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: I try very hard not to lie unless it so that I don't hurt someone's feelings. My clients sometimes ask me if they look fat. I would never say yes, so...

Most memorable moment on my bike: I just got a new set of clipless pedals (never had used anything but tennies prior to this moment). Anywho...my hubby put them on, I got on the bike with my new shoes, clipped in, rode down the alley, came back up into the driveway...and...fell over. I laughed for 30 minutes. When I landed (in a very slow awkward way), the bike was still attatched & I felt like an idiot! I guess I should have unclipped. Huge lesson learned & I'll never forget it. It really was hilarious though.

Most fun ever had on a bike? Can't really think of a particular one right now. I feel like I kick my own bootie every time I ride, but I'm having fun every single time.

Most memorable moment on my bike: The last "7 Hills of Kirkland" ride...wet, soggy, cold, dirty... HILLY.. but I finished and it was a fine and pleasant misery!

Most fun ever had on a bike? I have had so many wonderful adventures on my bike, I can't pick just one...each ride is a new discovery of either myself or my neighborhood.

I love cycling...we got back into it about four years ago, and I am getting better and stronger. I am still a slow cyclist, but getting stronger and don't dread the hills like I used to. I have learned so much from this forum and have enjoyed the information and gentle good humor.

This week another friend passed away suddenly and without warning. I get it now...and I have to do something with my grief. I'm back on the bike, living my dream of doing the 2011 Cindy and rides beyond.

Explanation of your handle: Simplistic really, I like to bike and I like to write, so I thought it was a cute play on words. I write a couple of columns in our local paper, our church bulletin, the newsletter for Kiwanis and a few other odd pieces here and there.

Age (general or specific) 55 in 2010

    Occupation: Elected Official, Township Supervisor

Favorite bike: I don’t know enough about other bikes yet just my own, so right now it’s my favorite

What's in your stable? Schwinn Gateway, 2010, bought it used, it fit and more importantly it fit the budget. Once I feel that I am committed to continuing this journey I’ll look to upgrading, especially when I discover what my real needs will be and what style of riding that I’ll want to do.

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? Don’t know because I don’t have a speedo or computer, but I pick up some real speed on a few steep inclines on trails around here. It’s thrilling and scary all at the same time.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? I’ll try to publish one in here and see if it works, if not I have several on my blog. http://pedaltohealth.blogspot.com/

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Well, it’s one that I repeat to myself from time to time and it goes something like this; “gee that won’t really matter too much…” when I am doing something that I know damn well will matter and come back to bite me in the butt, and it always does.

Most memorable moment on my bike: When I got back on one after an absence of over 18 years and discovered, yes I really can still ride a bike.

Most fun ever had on a bike? It’s always fun, but the most fun trips are exploring new places and new trails.

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: taking the 5th on this one.

Most memorable moment on my bike: 10 years old on a Raleigh with a banana seat and coaster breaks: Bombing down the steepest hill in my neighborhood without breaking, totally facing the older, cool kids on their BMX bikes (they all either chickened out, or hit the breaks), and learning the valuable lesson that glory comes to those who don't let anyone tell them they can't do something, and that a skinned knee is not worth crying about.

Most fun ever had on a bike? This summer, my first summer of road biking/tri training. Realizing I'm still the same 10 year old with no fear (but a much better bike), and I CAN hang with the cool kids.
