I have an ancient Ibex t-shirt, *so* very light (even lighter than my Icebreaker 140 weight). But it's ripped to shreds. Time to replace!

I'd forgotten about it until the wool came out again this fall ...

My Hincapie base layer is tissue-thin, as soft as any merino I own, seems to be durable although it's not that old. It's a tighter knit and not as stretchy as Ibex Woolies, but considerably lighter. I don't know the fabric weight. It also runs just a tad smaller than Ibex.

I am, cuz I gotta buy some new trousers in any case. (even if no-one else goes to Flagship tomorrow, I will be there...)

I'm planning noonish, how does that work for you and anyone else?

No passport, no REI, no TE get-together for me in Seattle. NO WOOL!!! (Well, ok, I have other sources... But I will hold on for a few weeks until I can visit.)

    Have fun!

REI, one of my favorite places!! I succumbed to new wool gloves (smartwool liners plus a wool-blend glove by Outdoor Research). Almost got a new Smartwool baselayer but opted instead for a Patagonia capilene crewneck. Nothing was on sale, of course, but I used my 20% coupon for a break on the top.

Unhappy Option #2 - deal with sick cat

I had to miss the fun this time - and take my sick kitty to the emergency vet - seems his diabeties is a bit out of control, apparently just because he's a cat.

So the money I might have spent on wool, went to him, my lover boy.
