This was a huge bonus for me when I bought them!
As you probably know, getting any Rx with a bad astigmatism is expensive; the bigger the lense, or more the angle on it, the more it costs. With the inserts, they are small and "flat" and thus a lot less expensive than "regular" glasses. I spent $500 on my daily Oakleys with transition, light weight, UV lenses. Sunglasses already have the protection I needed, and the insert it small and light weight - with my insurance, I paid $120 for my Rudys.
