Your post made me smile, you know, one of those really soppy smiles.
What a beautiful bike and a great way of starting to ride.

This one.
Though it's a slightly different colour scheme - pink and white.
I took her to a different LBS in the next town, and they were so helpful. The owner's daughter is slightly older (my girl is 3 next Feb) and talked through what the options were. I wasn't sure if B would go for the bike or not as she is easily swayed by tassels and dolly carriers and such like, and I wanted something slightly more rigid and functional. Anyway, she looked at it and said "It's BEAUTIFUL!", then climbed on, rang the bell for a bit, then set off around the shop shouting "I'm cycling! I'm cycling!" She steered as well, without falling off, I was so proud of her. She'll have caught me up in no time. So we are going back tomorrow, with her daddy, to buy her very first bike. I'm sure he will be a bit dewy-eyed too. Apparently she is less likely to need stabilisers when she goes to a pedal bike as this one will help her learn to balance and steer.

Thank you both!
She is snoring on my lap at the moment. We picked up the bike first thing, then I took her out with it. We went to both local parks, then she set off down a path I've never tried which took us onto the local canal, on the side that I didn't think had a path. Then she found another play park! Such a little adventurer. She did complain about the bike being "a bit wobbly, mummy", but once she let me carry her precious sheet of stickers she did a lot better. She was so tired after the last park though that I carried her home in one arm and her bike in the other. I didn't get photos but will try to get some tomorrow. It was so lovely watching her. Even when she was clearly frustrated she didn't want to get off the bike.
awwww.... so sweet!!!She tuckered herself out on her first ride. Too sweet!

yay! my son got a bike like that but different brand but that style of pedal less run bike, he got his a year ago and it took him a while to be very interested in it then one day he just wanted to do nothing but play with his bike and now he goes so fast!
we just got him a bike with pedals and a chain he kept asking for one so went to place that sells used bikes and got him a little 12 inch wheel bike. he doesn't seem to have the coordination for it but i think he wanted it so he could work on his bike when i work on mine. he gets jealous when i lube my chain and clean my bike and stuff. so i think this new bike will be for playing with when i do that until he is a little older.
very happy for your girl and her new bike![]()

Trixie - BMX / to be decided
So pleased the ride went well for your beautiful little girl, also moonfroggy, likewise for your little boy.
Think we should have a separate section for all the Mini Team Estrogen children, I realise not everybody would want to post pics but hearing the stories are great.
Personally I just go totally soft reading about anybody's children, I know how I have become with my little eight year old grandson.
Clock...............ticking on and wondering where all the years have gone with her now 34 year old son........![]()
