2010 Ruby at the LBS with the nice people on the way home from work (A-1 Cycling in Centerville VA).

Not sure its the perfect forever bike but its WAAAYYY better than my 2001 hybrid with front suspension.

This is the "victory" picture from the "inaugural ride" (what you don't see is me promptly banging myself in the head with the handlebars I guess that's what helmets are for!

Took a class on how to change a flat and got my seat adjusted tonight. The people at A1 have been really sweet making sure my seat bag had everything I needed in it and that it fit my saddle and being sure I knew what I was doing with the tire (I was the only person in the so called class so I"m pretty sure I got it though I probably won't flat for a few months...

I have a dog named Veru and all of her dog stuff is fuscia so we've officially named the bike for her VERUBY since it has the fuscia swoosh on it! I'm even contemplating making "Team Veru" jerseys with a terrier riding in the bike basket on the handlebars in black and pink cause that's how I roll.

So the best part is my friend has been telling me for weeks to sign up for the Wild Goose Chase Ride on the Eastern Shore of MD in October and I finally did Sunday after I got my bike. I looked on the site today and it did sell out so I got in just under the wire. Very happy to not have to do the 40 mile ride on the hybrid!!! Hopefully some of you will be there.

If you go over to the mid-atlantic forum, about 4 or 5 of us on here are doing the wild goose chase - I'll make sure to shout veruby if I see a ruby with a fuschia swoosh.

It looks like a sweet ride

What a nice victory picture of you and your new prize. Now if only you can bottle that enthusiasm for every day of the week.

This is a double whammy jealousy post - gorgeous new bike AND someone going to Italy with their bikes.
And thanks for the chuckle about the hitting yourself on the head part. The one pic I have like that, it was taking my brother-in-law forever to take it and my sister and I were like - HELLO, getting heavy over here!
