    Bumps and bruises...

I am SO tired of bumps, scrapes, and bruises. I know this is to be expected. Frustrating still.

My legs are a lovely shade of blue this evening. Someone tell me when I'm done paying the bike gods their tribute. Until then, I guess I'll plod along, hoping for an end to this clumsy, awkward, and downright painful stage in my development from Newbie to something other then newbie.

Sorry about the frustration and the blueness.
Still, I hope you're having a good time out there!

I think it does get better. I have no bumps or bruises from yesterday's ride, though I do have a slightly aching back that can't necessarily be blamed on my riding (but which is probably down to overenthusiastically bumping onto and over a recreation field). How are you getting on, other than the battle scars?

It does get better, just hang in there and focus on the fun part. I always seemed to come up additions to my scar collection rather than bruises, myself That did come to an end, and your bruise/ride ratio will change as well

I'm OK. Just feeling a little "blue" so needed to vent a little. Just have to remind myself 10 days ago I couldn't ride down the length of my driveway, never mind doing what I'm doing now (bruises or no bruises), but having felt that breakthrough I am hungry for more.

Feeling "blue" is a really terrific pun, under the circumstances!

I laughed this morning on the way to work when I saw a fork in the road, an actual bent up piece of cutlery on the street.

five years of riding and I still manage to bruise myself or scrape myself almost every ride. Just consider them "badges of courage".

I'm like that too, and even just walking around plowing into the furniture or getting kicked around by my students.

I wish that I would get bruises...instead I keep getting things that leave scars

    Yay!
And I love your sig, Roadtrip!

I still whack myself on the shins with pedals. It was worse when I had platforms. Then there was that time that my bike bit me...
At least I don't leave slime trails.
