    Super D bike?

I'm looking to get into Super D racing and need a bike to do the job.

The Cannondale Phophet & Gemini are among the ones i'm interested in. The Phophet is 32 lbs. and the Gemini is 38 lbs. I currently race XC on a Trek Fuel 98 and LOVE it. it's super light and i have recently upgraded to a Fox 100 fork.

I think the Phophet would work well if the race course requires some pedeling. However, the Gemini would give me a bike that is substantially different from the Trek XC that I have.

Like i said, i have never raced Super D before, so any advice would be really appreciated.

    Umm

What is super d? Super downhill?

Sounds to me you answered your own question and want the gemini. And if it is all downhill well what is 38 pounds? Sounds really heavy to me, but probably also very stable.

    Enjoy The process,

super d is a downhill course with some climbing mixed in. Every course is different - some with more or less climbing. i have yet to race in a Super d competition.

i decided to purchase the Prophet. I took it to Fruita for my first ride. it was real nice, but considerably heavier than my XC race bike. Glad i didn't decide to get the Gemini!

I think the Prophet will work out great and i will keep you all posted about the races.
