Dearie has always been a natural neat freak. He cleans up. I'm the person that is sloppier. No, this was not a "special" meal by him or occasional supper. Cooking is loosely equally divided between us, with no real advance schedule. It's flying by the seat of our pants when it comes to meal planning. We each have our favourite/strength areas for preparing certain types of dishes.
Last night's home meal, was way too tart, he made balsamic based vinegar sauce with mint over sauteed beets and green beans. Thin slices of sauteed eggplant on side. With fresh light noodles on side.
Yea, I know. Wierd. I accept whatever creativity in the kitchen just as he accepts mine.
Most of his culinary inventions are successful.
actually it sounds delicious and colorful but maybe that's just me. both himself and FIL are very tolerant of the fact that all I willingly cook is chicken, fish, a salad and an occasional baked sweet potato. My salads which almost always contain 7-10 fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and or grains are probably pretty far out for most people.
