Isn't that what the 100-calorie bars are for?![]()

What is "strawberry topping?"
Really, there is no substitute for ice cream. I limit my intake to about once a month. I had some yesterday. I can't buy it at the grocery store because I'll eat it all up. So when I want it, I go out and buy a cone, or a chocolate chip malt as was the case yesterday. Yum.
Oh I think there is a substitute ... well at least sth that comes near for me, being an Icecream addict myself:
I puree mango or raspberry in a blender and add plain yoghurt and put this mixture into the freezer and stir it every half an hour until you have an ice-cream-like texture (I guess if you have an ice cream machine that would be better).
You can also use frozen raspberries (or other berries) or freeze fruit-puree in those ice-cube-making-thingies (whatever you call them) and mix them into yoghurt or curd to get an iced shake.
^That's not ice cream.
Tulip, that's the same thing I do.

^^A Smoothie is great, but it's a smoothie, not ice cream.
And there's nothing wrong with a smoothie. I have them several times a week. Susan, yours sounds delicious. Tzvia, I'm leary of the "strawberry topping."
After our long rides...50+ miles (last week it was 80) we drop the bikes off and go get gelato. Chocolate hazelnut and sea salt caramel in a sugar cone make me forget how hot I was...
