I've wanted to try this, but our IC won't cover this under any circumstances, so I'm afraid I'd hate it and be out $500. I don't generally do well with hormonal stuff, anyhow. Even the Nuvaring gave me unpleasant side-effects (primarily ZERO libido).
I had trouble with every hormonal birth control I tried until Mirena, so far (3 years) it's worked for me, and I tried every pill, and Nuvaring. I get the occasional short light period. But the best part is not having to worry about birth control for five freakin years. It may be worth a shot, my ob/gyn said everyone in her office had one!
