Handlebar bag with Cue Sheet Holder

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Hi all! I've been reading the forums for a while, and enjoy your enthusiasm and knowledge. I just returned from my first bike tour and realize I need a handlebar bag for riding at home as well. I would love one with a cue sheet holder. Do you have any suggestions? TIA!

I use the Topeak Tour Guide bag. Here's a link to where I purchased it:

    Small bags

I use an Arkel map case on one bike (expensive at $45, and with storage only for a few small flat items).

Just ordered this Louis Garneau from Performance, now on sale for $12.99, and it's great. It actually has two zippered pockets, not one. One is flat and great for money. The other holds small cell phones, cameras, or food. It even has a shoulder strap!

Consider what size cue sheets you'll be using most of the time when buying. I had a small REI bag with mapcase but I had to trim or fold all the cue sheets to fit.

That looks great! I am new to this (cue sheets), but realize I need to carry a little more with me. In my neighborhood I ride a cruiser type bike with a wicker basket, but getting a bit more serious about tours, thanks!

I bought this bag for my bike:
    http://www.amazon.com/Avenir-Metro-H...1748854&sr=8-5
It's a little smaller than I expected, but it works great. It carries my snacks/food and has a cell phone pocket and a shoulder strap so you can take it off the bike and wear it as a purse. It also has a map space under clear plastic on the flap.

Ortlieb has a very nice handlebar bag with an add-on cue sheet/map holder. Like all their stuff, very stable, and very waterproof/dustproof. It'll set you back about $90 or so.

I don't think that bag is part of the sale. :/ The items that are have a 2-3-4 badge on them. Cool bag, though!

It says "Enjoy savings of up to 70% off on over 400 items, receive an additional discount when you buy more than 1 item. See details"

So I presume get the bag which is not on sale combined with shorts that are on sale and get 10% off the sale item. Bag, shorts, and arm skins (the latter two on sale) 15% off the sale items. Bag, shorts, arm skins, gloves (last 3 on sale) .... I'm retail challenged so may be wrong about this.

But it is a nice bag.

I'm pretty sure only additional sale items earn the discounts. I'm shopping myself and adding a non-sale item doesn't seem to change the percentage off of the sale items, unfortunately.

I, too, appreciate Susan, and I did order some shorts here on Monday, got them today (haven't tried them on yet). But I need a front bag that doesn't have an attachment system (because I already have a front-basket for errands and shopping and it has an attachment bracket that stays on the bike). There's nothing on this site that is similar, and at $15 the small bag is too good to pass up.

Ah, so you don't need a bag at all, just this over the basket:
