112.0 - the vacation pounds are gone. It helps to be riding regularly again, and being able to make own food choices. I never think my portions are too small or food selection unusual at home, but it's so much harder to keep track when you're traveling. Have a successful and happy week everyone.

I've been doing a 5k every day this week since Sunday - mostly walking, but working up to jogging - and yesterday I jogged about a third of it, and I felt fine when I got home, but my right knee was a little tender and the balls of my feet were both burning from the neuromas, so I hopped on the bed with some ice packs and got some work done.

An hour later I could barely put any weight on my knee, and it got progressively worse through the day, in spite of periodic icing. I can walk on it, but it hurts. I can sit with it elevated (RICE), but it hurts a lot when I try to move again. 20 minutes of immobility takes its toll.

I've got an appointment with my chiro this morning at 10:30. I'm hoping he can fix me up. If not, I'll have to go see my GP and have her hook me up with PT, which can take days. I don't have days. I want to get back to my run-walk schedule. It was really productive and I was actually making progress.

129... again. I have been on call and unable to ride for the past week. I could ride my trainer, but the cats I just adopted are freaked out by it - so I didn't.

Hopefully my metabolism will get back to normal.

Roxy- hope things pick up for you. I have been dealing with a variety of issues since the spring- both hip/leg and upper body- PT is time-consuming, hard to schedule into a busy life, and it's just so challenging to figure out who to go to for appointments sometimes. Hang in there!

Just discovered this thread, hope it's not to late to join in.

I was doing really well in May and part-way through June then "fell off the wagon". I have IBS and hyperinsulinism so need to watch my carbs much more carefully than I've been doing! Did my first century 2 weeks ago, which firmed up my suspicion that I must change saddles (!), and haven't been on the bike much since. Changing saddles today so hopefully will be clocking up the miles - and shedding the fat - again. Must take advantage of the fine weather we've been having - it's such a rarity in England!

Thankfully I've gained only 3 pounds since mid-June, so haven't lost too much ground.

    Please put me down as:
    Friday 6th August - 155.5
Goal for end of challenge (first Friday of Sept, right?) - 150

PS to Roxy - hope you get better soon. I'm shopping around for another PT - need to work on my core - and waiting for arthroscopic procedure on my knee next winter - meanwhile icing it twice a day, so I feel for ya! Hang in there and keep us posted.
