(((Marni))) - I am so sorry, I don't have any thing else to say. You definitely fought for her and luckily she was in vet care quickly.

Was maybe one of the neighbors putting down weed kill or something similar? We try to avoid poisons but if I have to use them I tell my neighbors, one has little boys and the other 3 dogs. Fortunately they will do the same but some people are just clueless, we had a cat poisoned accidentally when I neighbor had an anti-freeze spill while working on a car.

Oh Marni! They always seem to leave us when we're the most vulnerable. I hope your decision to release her from her pain will bring comfort to you as you come to terms with her untimely, senseless death. Sometimes the most difficult part of letting one go is making the decision to do so. Perhaps as a living memorial to her you may find that planting a beautiful tree like a dogwood or a butterfly bush will help you as you mourn her loss. It will help bring you hope and the promise of the renewal of life. My thoughts are with you.

Oh how sad. This has been a rough couple of weeks for TE members losing beloved pets . I second sundial's idea on the living memorial. Perhaps it will bring much needed good vibes to your home.
