.......Costco "it-se-bit-se" cotton undies (around $12 for a pack of 5 or 6) I can ride in normal clothes in these undies about 15 miles without any discernable misery.

Goes to show how different bodies can be - I have some of these, just normal wearing wedges them firmly and uncomfortably between my cheeks....
Unlike Crankin, I love boy shorts, but only microfiber ones. Other materials are way too bulky.
