This may be the first time I've read the manual to anything, but I want to make sure I seal this thing up right! I'm going Sunday to a place I've been wanting to paddle for a while, so I'm very excited to try it out. First impressions: Yes, it's a bit on the bulky side, but not horrendous. And I think it starts up faster than my old Coolpix S600, and that thing was fast! Controls are seemingly well layed out and I think it has quick access to every setting I'd want. Of course, the real test will come Sunday.
and what I learned.
I learned I hate this thing. It's only good if you're shooting all underwater.
I am going back to my Pelican case.
Bah.
ETA- I forgot to say I was using something similar to this

Some of those pictures are good. Others not so much.
I just ordered a case for my dslr to use while kayaking - I have a feeling it's going to have similar results, but I'll try it - I'm boggled as to what to do with seacaves.
Can you return it?
I threw away the packaging![]()

What kind of camera is it for? It may be time for a new higher-megapixel underwater camera.
2007 Rivendell Glorius/Trico gel with cutout (not made any more apparently)
2005 Specialized Sequoia Comp/Specialized Dolce
2006 Kona Cinder Cone/another Trico gel
1986? Bridgestone mixte/Brooks B72
1991 Bridgestone 300 Xtracycle/Terry Gelissimo
It's for the Panasonic Lumix I just bought.
I guess I'm gonna be buying yet another camera![]()
