Is there an advantage to having a tri-bike?

I didn't want to hijack Kacie's thread about her new bike (it's a beauty) so I'm posting this question to you ladies separately.
I've been reading the advice from Colby and Veronica about purchasing a tri-bike and it's very timely. I just finished by second tri and have to admit that I'm bit by the bug. I love the training and the event because I don't get burned out doing just one thing. DH and our training buddy are hooked as well. We have 2 more sprints planned this season and the guys are wanting to bump up the distance to Oly. They are also looking at tri-bikes. I love the looks of them and would love to ride one just to see how they feel but I'm thinking that buying one might be a bit premature. I'm still not comfortable with the ows and I need to get my times faster. The practical side of me says to use my Luna the rest of the season and look into a tri-bike next year but bike lust is a terrible thing and the guys are getting swept away by it.
You ladies have the experience. What are your thoughts?
