Is spending $100 for a bike fit worth it??

Have any of you spent this much? I live in southern California so everything here costs more. I am a new member of a cycling club and one of the members owns a bike shop. They do custom bike fits for $100. Has any of you done this and were you satisfied with the service?

I paid $200 and I an in Indianapolis! If the fitter knows his or her stuff, then it is well worth the money and then some to make sure you have a good fit - especially if you are experiencing pain or discomfort on the bike.

I am very happy with the results of my fitting. Then again, I have certainly physical issues that made it necessary.
