Ran across this photo of my old dog Ranger.
He would always fall in this culvert. Sometimes I would lay on my belly and pull him out.

I eventually taught him to crawl through the big corrugated pipe to get out.

This photo makes me smile. He was a good dog. I miss him.

Look who I met on Saturday!

He was the hit of the farmer's market and made an otherwise intolerably hot and slow day into a fun event.

He met some new friends there as well:

Is he wind-up or battery operated?

Not really my pet but one persistent feline who keeps trying to move in. He's been hanging around for about a month now. Because he was so very skinny another tenant and I have been feeding him. He's very friendly toward people but he and Brat Cat are very territorial over the same territory . Chloe is very interested in him but, alas, the feelings are not reciprocated. I've contacted a Trap/Spay-Neuter/Release group in the area about possibly having him fixed and getting some medical care if it's determined he's been abandoned. Last year he had a collar (buckle, not snap-away) and now he doesn't. I was pretty sure he lived in the building behind mine but people have moved out of there and the current batch of tenants deny knowing anything about him. If he got along with Brat Cat & Chloe I'd consider taking him in.

He's looking kind of demonic in the second picture.

Could be. I'm not sure what they're called. I'm really cat-illiterate. He's really much more handsome than my picture would suggest. And soft. And talkative.
