Went on a "typical" weekend ride with my dh. Since I am still new to cycling, I'm not sure doing something 3 times makes it typical, but oh well. We ride 10 miles to a local diner for breakfast, then we ride another 15-20 miles home. It was a beautiful morning to ride today.

Went on an easy 20 mile ride today. It threatened to rain but never did I thought my legs might be sore after yesterday's ride but they were fine. The temps were in the mid-80's and the humidity was still up there - but compared with yesterday the air actually felt somewhat cool when I started - nice!

my husband and I did a nice 10 miles on our local rails-to-trails as the sun was setting tonight. It was a such a nice end to the day....after a lot of stress and sadness today (my grandfather passed away unexpectedly overnight). it just felt so good to get on my bike and breathe some fresh air and let it pump into my muscles.

Big day for me! 41 miles on Mount Lemmon. I cheated a little, started at 5800 feet at mile 11, rode up to an elevation over 8200 feet, and with all the ups and downs, had about 4000 feet of gain. I took advantage of a chance to ride all the way to the bottom at 2500 feet though. Had to ride through a rainstorm for about 4 miles along the ridgetop.

52 kms. Today was very bright blue, sunny day. Just gorgeous. I was ready to fade at 40 kms. for not eating during the ride. But no worries, as planned we stopped for a snack and container of fresh raspberries which are plentiful right now in our area.

Odd thing about my ride yesterday - while I saw other cyclists not one of them had a helmet on Several of them were on expensive road bikes with full kit - but yet no helmet. Strange.

    WOW! Congrats!

I did 53 miles, straight through with no stopping (other than traffic lights.) Felt really strong plus needed to get rid of some stress!

    4hr

I did a 4hr yesterday & had fun . It was the last in a series of 3 (2 4hr's, 1 6hr) and oh boy the last track was super duper technical. My new bike is awesome but tech skills/confidence keep me way way back( but then again i wasn't there to be the best but rather to have fun on a way way way cool trail). The weather was awesome & trail conditions .

First lap started off well but 1km or so in, I saw two guys on the side of the trail talking to another dude. Dude had misjudged a jump & broke his collarbone..owie..As i'm a slow rider, i offered to walk the injured guy back to the emergency access point & wait for the first aid person to come. Someone collected the guy after a while & I was on my way. Well, I had to run back to my bike, hope that in that time noone would run me over, ants would not be on my hydration pack and i'd still have the concentration to get through the tech bits ahead. Urm..first lap was crap .

Very very long day...left home at 530am & got home at 630pm...2 1/2hrs of driving each way (but the trail's totally worth it!).

Dirt time this week..skills ride, hill repeats, one long ride. The 100k enduro on Sept 18th will come quickly....!!!!

I went out for a 22 mile ride yesterday but when I was 8 miles down the trail I hit a big rut in the trail and broke a spoke. Had to call my husband to come pick me up. Bleh.

I didn't get to ride at all this weekend, as I was in an intensive weekend class. It was super hot and humid Saturday, so it didn't bother me, but yesterday it did, even though it was only a little cooler out. One of the things that happens during these weekends is that I go out for lunch on Sat. and Sunday, and dinner on Friday night, in addition to usually going out when I get home Saturday, as I am in no mood to cook.
Bleh, I feel like a beached whale. Getting ready to ride to the Farmer's Market in a bit.

I just did my 18 mile loop. It was a pretty day. Got home before the stores and museums opened, so it was a thankfully uneventful ride for a weekend.
