    The original!
Hell, the whole country is like 300 degrees, why bother differentiating at this point?

You won't find me complaining about the heat. I still remember too vividly this past winter.

Rent Dr. Zhivago and watch it.

My mom always said that was the best thing to do in the summer when it seems like the heat will never let up.

My father has told me more than once that he always feels cold when he watches that movie...

You people really ought to move out here to the west coast of Oregon. It's gorgeous here - clear, dry, sunny... in the 50's at night, 80's in the day....every day. No humidity.

Wait! Did I say that? No, I mean is grey and rainy...all the time, every day. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Oh - 50's would feel so heavenly! I can deal with the daytime heat - it's the fact that it doesn't cool down at night that gets me. Know anyone looking to hire an attorney?

Gearing up for another round of excessive heat here in N. Texas (like it isn't hot enough normally!) For the next TWO weeks it is supposed to be 100+ I can't imagine not have A/C.

A friend sent me this the other day...seems about right!

OMG, that made me laugh. It reminds me of a post card from my old place of residence... it said something like, "Greetings from Tempe, AZ. Home of Arizona State University and two feet from Hell."
The picture on the card was a sweating cactus.

I would just like to say that we've had wonderful weather today and yesterday. Highs in the mid-high 80s and lower humidity. It feels so nice. At the start of summer these temps would be hot, but not now because they are TWENTY degrees less than last weekend.

It will heat up again in couple of days, but happily we're not expecting temps above 100.

Zen is right, you ARE a sadist.

I will admit though, I do like not having to wear all of those warm clothes just to ride my bike. Pity we can't store this heat somehow to take with us when biking during 30 degree temps this winter!

Even my soaps were pouring sweat yesterday at the market. Very few people showed, as I suspect they didn't want to leave their A/C. Nothing worse than roasting outside for 4 1/2 hours for no reason. I walked around the farm and the poor sheep were laying on the ground panting away. You guys think you're hot, try walking around in a 2" thick wool coat now!

We desperately need a good air-clearing thunderstorm. We were supposed to get one yesterday, but it never materialized. It's been trying, but we just end up with thundershowers that mean it's more humid the next day. Ick.
At least I don't leave slime trails.
